Professional Portfolio

I work as an ER tech at a busy, urban Level II trauma center. I rode an ambulance for seven years as an EMT and completed the didactic and clinical paramedic training requirements. I used that training to pivot to a nursing program which I anticipate completing in June 2027. My resumes show more detail.

Previously, I spent eighteen years in DevOps and infrastructure engineering at tech companies in and around NYC. Before that I was a graduate student in comparative literature at New York University and spent over two years working at a Korean-U.S. joint venture company in Seoul. Along the way I worked up to a purple belt in BJJ and am proficient in target shooting with a number of different firearms. I have probably been a student longer than any other single occupation. I am driven to learn and push what I think is achievable.

These experiences do not collapse neatly into a single career label. I have found that leaving one type of work does not mean it leaves you. I still read and think about the literature and philosophy I engaged with as a student. And I maintain a home lab to keep current with Linux and related technologies. This site is a place to gather artifacts from these different areas in my life.
